The ORBID SOUND ^® PROSPERO floorstanding loudspeaker is perhaps a little unusual in terms of its dimensions, as it is a small but somewhat wider 3-way system, but its sound is convincing across the board.

The  PROSPERO floorstanding loudspeaker is a compact model with the highest quality components. A compression tweeter with a 1″ voice coil ensures direct response in the high frequencies. The 6″ midrange driver is responsible for transparency and clarity in the vocal range, reproducing instruments realistically and with a wide soundstage. In the bass range, a 10″ woofer with a high-quality cast aluminum basket delivers a warm bass foundation with its soft rubber surround.

History:

Back in the early 1970s, the SUPER STAR II model was introduced with our first product line – at the time, with a 25cm bass, it was the largest model in the range. Continuing this tradition, we developed and added the PROSPERO to our lineup. As for its name, the PROSPERO is in good company, specifically in our solar system, and thus fits perfectly into the Orbid Sound universe, as the name was inspired by a moon orbiting the planet Uranus.
