You always experience the products in our  ORBID SOUND ^® BEYOND series with multiple senses. The new top model in the series, our MARIDUR high-end loudspeaker, impresses not only with its equally interesting and modern appearance. The matte finish, available in any RAL color according to customer specifications, presents a timelessly elegant appearance, contrasting excitingly with the octagonal bass drivers with carbon cones. A completely new look that expresses contemporary simplicity and uncompromising quality.

But this speaker also has a lot to offer in terms of its inner qualities. A completely newly developed crossover network with high-quality components from Mundorf brings the equally newly developed Beyma drivers to a truly exceptional sound. A harmonious tuning in which the powerful bass is noticeably powerful even at low volumes without overpowering the accents and details in the midrange. In the high-frequency range, the newly developed dome tweeter demonstrates that even in this area, the sound can be much more refined than we ever imagined.

This is the equipment – ​​High End means uncompromising quality

Like all ORBID SOUND® ^speakers,  the MARIDUR is handcrafted . This statement speaker is equipped with two state-of-the-art 8-inch woofers. The bass is delivered by carbon cones in an octagonal aluminum basket. The embossed rubber surround ensures stability and controlled excursion.

As is typical with the BEYOND series, the tweeter is located in a separate enclosure from the main body. The newly developed tweeter, with a specially coated silk dome, delivers excellent highs and a wide soundstage. The distance from the main enclosure was deliberately chosen, ensuring a fine dispersion pattern and, incidentally, an exciting visual impression.

For the body and the tweeter cabinet of the MARIDUR high-end loudspeaker we use 25mm thick MDF material. Of course the cabinet is braced internally to further minimize the natural vibration. The base plate made of 30mm thick MDF contains 4 highly effective vibration dampers made of artificial coral, which ensure effective decoupling from the floor.

The housing parts and the base plate are firmly connected with solid wooden discs, which are painted black to match the look of the bass.

The MARIDUR ‘s massive terminal , specially developed by ORBID SOUND® ^, consists of a 6mm-thick aluminum plate and houses the crossover on the inside. The proven Mundorf binding posts are located on the outside. These allow the speaker cables to be securely connected either with screws or with banana terminals.
