Precise bass with the HI-LINE subwoofer

Small but perfectly formed and visually matching the Hi-Line column speakers, the subwoofer of the ORBID SOUND ^®   Hi-Line series is naturally also equipped with a Class-D amplifier. Technically similar to the TERRA I, it also features an integrated grille that conceals the actual speaker. Furthermore, the base plate provides an additional stylish look and incorporates our effective vibration dampers.

But even more important than its looks are the sound characteristics of the HI-LINE subwoofer. According to test results from Lite magazine, the sub “…fits perfectly into the playback chain. It plays crisply and dynamically, without any exaggeration…” Powerful bass with full control is its strength. It is ideal for providing a powerful bass foundation in conjunction with Hi-Line column speakers or as a complement to other 2-way speaker systems from ORBID SOUND ^® .

However, it is not suitable for higher-level surround sound at cinema volumes. In this case, we strongly recommend the larger subwoofer models of the TERRA series from the CINEMA line by ORBID SOUND ^® .

This is the equipment of the HI-LINE subwoofer

The HI-LINE subwoofer is equipped with a very high-quality 8″ bass chassis with a cast aluminum basket.

The rear-mounted Class D power amplifier with high power reserves and a sine power of 100 W at 8 ohms (200 W at 4 ohms) guarantees precise and powerful bass.

The crossover frequency (from 200 to 40 Hz) can be easily adjusted using a rotary control (variable low-pass). An integrated bass boost provides a 3 dB boost at 40 Hz.

A continuously adjustable phase shifter (0-180 degrees) allows optimal adjustment to the main speakers, depending on the location of the subwoofer.
